I’m officially nuts to attempt to sew this one on my own, it’s too much work!!!
Anyway, today’s progress behind the cut
Fitted hip-length yoke with a zipper
I modified my double veil pattern for the circle skirt.
Traced adornments lines with hubby's help!
Started decorating with ribbons
Added a row of silver mesh, it took me one hour to finish!

I am am also into Kalbelia and looked for a places in Rajasthan to buy a costume but I think the only way for me to get one is to make it.I enjoyed your tutorial it was really helpful.I was wonderding about the “mesh” is it a ribbon that you purchased as is (if so where?), or did you make it yourself?
Also..Have you run across any of the white upper arm bracelets on line?

Hi Kahina,
Yes, the mesh is just a thin silver ribbon about 0.5 cm ( 0.2 in) width. I haven’t purchased any white bracelets in Rajasthan, just the usual red ones. I haven’t looked online so not much of a help there. Sorry…
